1999 Holiday Rambler Navigator 40WDS with one slide-out!
If you have been looking for a diesel pusher with real bones under it, this 1999 Navigator by Holiday Rambler 40WDS deserves a close look.
It rides on the Roadmaster semi-monocoque chassis with cushion air-glide suspension, eight air bags, and eight Bilstein shocks, and it is powered by the Cummins ISC 350 turbodiesel with exhaust brake, backed by the Allison MD-3066 6-speed transmission.
With a 150-gallon fuel tank and a 10,000-lb hitch receiver, this coach was built to cover long miles with a tow vehicle behind it.
Step inside and you are surrounded by Natural Cherry cabinetry with solid-wood raised-panel doors, a factory upgrade over the standard oak. The living area offers seating for everyone, with a leather sleeper sofa on one side and a leather J-Lounge on the other, a dinette with table and chairs, and a slide-out that opens up the floor.
A Sony stereo receiver with a Blu-ray DVD player, upgraded smart flat-screen TVs in both the living room and bedroom, and a DirecTV King Tailgate Pro satellite system with front and rear receivers keep the entertainment covered wherever you park.
The galley is set up for real cooking, not just reheating: a 3-burner recessed range with oven, a microwave convection oven, a four-door refrigerator with an icemaker behind a custom raised-panel door, a pantry, solid-surface countertops, and ceramic tile floors in the galley and bath.
A washer/dryer is already installed, so laundry stops are off the itinerary.
At the back of the coach, the private bedroom features an island queen bed with a memory foam mattress and a security safe tucked underneath, cedar-lined wardrobe closets, and its own TV.
The bath gives you a tub plus a separate private toilet compartment, so one person can get ready while another sleeps in.
The systems list reads like a full-timer's wish list: a 10.0kW Onan generator on a power slide, 2500-watt inverter, four six-volt deep cycle house batteries, 50-amp service with a power cord reel, two low-profile 13,500 BTU roof air conditioners, a 42,000 BTU furnace, a Weboost cellular signal booster, tire pressure monitoring, keyless entry, a full-size patio awning, and a full pass-through storage tray in bay 3.
