Description
This beautifully converted Sprinter is built to be completely self-contained and function off-grid while providing comfort and maximum storage capacity. Diesel engine, high roof (stand up inside), fresh/grey water systems, 300W solar with Fullriver battery bank, diesel cabin heater, full kitchen, and a slide-out bike/gear tray — this is a turnkey adventure rig ready for the next owner.
General Information:
- 2007 Dodge Sprinter (Mercedes components)
- 144" Wheelbase — easy to drive, park, and maneuver
- High Roof — stand up comfortably inside
- 180,834 miles — diesel engine, capable of 500k+ miles with proper maintenance
- 2500 Diesel Engine — pleasant to drive, accelerates easily on hills, highways, and in traffic
- Automatic transmission with manual mode (useful for downshifting or steep off-road ascents)
- 4 forward-facing seats with seat belts
Condition & Maintenance:
Recently serviced and maintained at a local shop that specializes in Sprinter vans — this van is in good shape, and the build-out is one of the best we've seen. We're selling because we're moving and need to put our resources into our new home. There have been 2 owners since the conversion from commercial vehicle to adventure mobile (the conversion builder and myself), and both of us have taken great care of the van.
Recent maintenance history:
- Rear calipers and brakes replaced, 2026
- Turbo charger replaced, 2025
- Full inspection of all systems and tires performed in 2021, 2022, and 2023
- Regular oil and fluid changes
- New battery, 2023
- Off-road tires, good condition with deep tread, 2021
Van Capacity & Layout
- Designed for comfort and maximum storage, including bikes, while remaining completely off-grid
- Bed orientation allows both people to exit at the foot of the bed
- Ample storage: multiple overhead cabinets, drawers, and a slide-out bike tray in "the garage"
- Swivel, telescoping table for meals, games, or use as a desk
- Driver and passenger swivel seats with lumbar support - four people can sit around the table
- Table lowers and, with a tote and air mattress, converts to a bed for a 3rd person; an additional air mattress can be placed in "the garage" for a 4th
Water Systems
- 30-gallon fresh water tank
- Water pump with double water filtration system
- Hose connection for easy filling from a standard outdoor faucet
- 6-gallon grey water capacity
- Electric water pump for on-demand water
- Hot water heater for shower and sink
- Outdoor shower at the back of the van
- Thetford Porta Potti (portable, movable)
Electrical Systems
- 300W solar power (three 100W panels)
- Fullriver battery system — 115 amp hours (installed 2023)
- 2000W Renogy inverter
- Wifi-enabled battery monitoring and control
- Alternator charger — keeps the battery charged on cloudy days while driving
- 12V diesel heater (installed January 2025) — runs off the fuel tank to keep the cabin warm without idling the engine; the van's full insulation keeps fuel use low
- Electrical outlets and USB ports throughout the cabin
- Recessed, dimmable lighting
Kitchen
- Sink (14" x 14" x 7")
- Isotherm fridge with internal freezer
- Nutrichef induction stovetop
- Countertop (26" x 17")
- Rotating tabletop with adjustable height (36" x 22")
Storage
- Ample under-bed storage ("the garage") for camping and gear
- 56" x 42" slide-out tray for bikes, gear, and camping totes
- Single blow-up mattress fits in "the garage" for extra travelers
Stealth Camping
Comfortable inside, inconspicuous outside — great for both extended time in nature and stealth camping in cities. No visible signs of RV conversion from the outside apart from the solar panels and roof fan, which aren't very noticeable from eye level.
Serious inquiries welcome — happy to answer questions on any of the systems above or provide additional photos/documentation.
