This 2018 Jayco Redhawk 26XD is a great example of why the 26XD became such a popular Class C floorplan. At only 28' 8" long, it's considerably easier to maneuver, park, and fit into campsites than many larger Class C motorhomes, yet its TWO slide-outs create an impressive amount of interior living space once you arrive. This coach has 84,638 miles and 603 generator hours and is powered by the proven Ford 6.8L Triton V10 on the heavy-duty E-450 chassis. For families, couples, first-time motorhome buyers, or anyone wanting a manageable Class C with plenty of sleeping capacity, the 26XD offers a lot of RV for its size. DUAL-SLIDE 26XD FLOORPLAN This is where the Redhawk really shines. One large slide expands the main living area with the booth dinette and sofa, while a second slide opens up the rear bedroom. The result is a coach that feels considerably larger at the campground than its sub-29-foot overall length suggests. The rear bedroom features a walk-around queen bed, large wardrobe and additional storage, giving you a true dedicated bedroom rather than having to convert the living area every night. Up front is Jayco's substantial cab-over sleeping area. The overhead bunk was rated for an impressive 750 pounds when new, making it useful sleeping space for adults, kids, or grandchildren instead of simply being an occasional-use bunk. Combined with the convertible dinette and sofa, the 26XD was designed to sleep up to seven people. GREAT FAMILY & TRAVEL LAYOUT The large booth dinette provides plenty of room for meals, games, laptops, or trip planning and sits beside large windows that bring plenty of natural light into the coach. Across from it is the sofa, creating a comfortable central living area for relaxing after a day on the road. The kitchen is efficiently arranged with a double-bowl sink, high-rise faucet, three-burner range, microwave, refrigerator, generous cabinetry, and useful counter space. There's also a full bathroom with shower, toilet and vanity, plus dedicated linen and storage space. JRIDE RIDE & HANDLING PACKAGE Jayco put considerable emphasis on ride quality with the Redhawk. The 2018 model's JRide equipment included features such as a computer-balanced driveshaft, front and rear stabilizer bars, Hellwig helper springs, and rubber isolation mounts. Those upgrades are especially valuable in a Class C because they were designed to improve stability, handling, and overall driving confidence.
