Description

Sleeps 10 | Bunk Beds | Full-Wall Slide | Automatic Leveling Jacks Step into family-friendly luxury and proven Thor craftsmanship with this 2019 Thor Chateau 31E, one of the most popular and versatile Class C floorplans ever built. Designed to comfortably sleep up to 10, this coach is ideal for large families, extended trips with comfort while driving, or anyone who values space, smart storage, and effortless setup thanks to LCI automatic 4-point leveling jacks. This RV handles well on the highway and on backroads, we have owned other RVs that were smaller that did not handle as well. This is a very sturdy rig when driving and towing. The V10 engine and 6 speed transmission combo was only available from 2016 to 2019. See below for more info but this is truly the best combo of engine/transmission for the E450 RV platforms. If this is your first RV or looking to make a change feel free to ask any questions. This is our second RV and largest to date. Comfortable & Well-Appointed Cab The cockpit is designed for long-haul comfort and confidence, featuring leather captain chairs with armrests, dash A/C, center console with cupholders, and powered windows, locks, and remote keyless entry. Safety and convenience are enhanced with a rearview camera and monitor system, while the Axxera AM/FM/BT/USB dash stereo keeps everyone entertained. Above the cab, you ll find a large overhead bunk with a movable cushion and ladder-perfect for kids or extra guests. Spacious Slide-Out Living Area The full-wall slide-out dramatically expands the living space, creating an open and welcoming interior. Enjoy a jackknife sofa sleeper with seatbelts and a leatherette booth dinette, both converting into additional sleeping areas. Overhead cabinets provide ample storage, while the cab-over SEIKI HDTV on a swing-arm mount, USB charging station, and 7 interior ceiling height add modern comfort. Quality finishes include Sydney Maple raised-panel cabinetry, roller privacy shades, and ducted A/C throughout. Dedicated Bunk Area A standout feature of the 31E is its stacked bunk beds, each with its own window, personal entertainment TV, ladder access, and privacy curtains-a huge win for families traveling with kids or teens. As well the over cab bed area with its own TV, power, and cupholders. Fully Equipped Galley The kitchen is designed to handle real meals on the road, offering solid surface countertops, a 2-burner gas/and 2 burner induction cooktop, Whirlpool convection microwave, and a Norcold 2-door refrigerator/freezer (LP/110V) with matching wood panels. A stainless-steel sink, full-extension drawers, and generous cabinetry provide excellent functionality and storage. Private Slide-Out Bedroom Retreat to a walk-around queen bed with nightstands, reading lights, and plenty of storage above, below, and in the dresser drawers. A mirrored wardrobe closet, Insignia HDTV, and sliding pocket doors create a true private master suite feel. Lots of storage for blankets and clothes. Dual-Access Bathroom Accessible from both the hallway and bedroom, the bathroom features a foot-flush toilet, solid-surface vanity, mirrored medicine cabinet, and a walk-in glass-enclosed shower with skylight. A powered ceiling vent ensures excellent airflow Top Selling Points of our 2019 31E: • Auto Level jacks (Once you have them you will never manually level again) • Upgraded from single A/C to Dual soft start Air conditioners $6k upgrade. This is great for kids or pets in that if you ever have an AC fail, you have a second. Lesson learned from our previous first RV that only had 1 AC and it failed down in FL in the summer. • New Tires with low miles (Stored on gravel with covers so no water/UV damage) • 2019-V10 Ford engine (last year of the V10 very reliable engine) • 6-Speed Transmission (reduces the high engine RPMs when compared to the older 5 speed) • 9K Towing Capacity- Can tow larger SUVs and trucks. We towed a 2008 Jeep at 4500lbs so nowhere near max tow. • Solar Ready • Maintenance annually fresh sealant for the 2026 season. Why we purchased this RV? • Maintenance- Since it is an E450 Front end all vehicle maintenance can be done at 90% of maintenance facilities. As opposed to a class A or rear engine style that needs a bus or RV repair facility. It has the same tires, brakes, engine, transmission, etc as all other E450s van series. • Its not a diesel, I love my diesel truck but having the simplicity of gas makes traveling easy and with the V10 HP is not an issue and can comfortably travel at highway speeds for cruising and passing when needed. • Comfort while driving-Plenty of space and TVs to keep everyone comfortable when traveling. Also has car seat hookup for kids. • Great RV to hookup or boondock at family/in-laws, making traveling for the holiday easier. • Shower Height- Adult can stand in shower without ducking or bending • Bedspace- Sleeps 10 with bunks (most importantly we didn’t have to convert the table and couch into bedding like other RV layouts) there was plenty of sleeping with 2 large beds and 2 bunks. The over cab bed extends the full width of the RV so great for taller individuals. • Simple Water System- Has source auto valves instead of a large water control panel (Also simplifies winterizing) when compared to other RVs • Electric and Propane Refrigerator • Propane and Induction Cooktop (Induction Cooktop great for kids and is much safer) • Auto Level jacks ( Makes setup quicker/easier and safer with kids around) • External Auxiliary Propane hookup for grills and other propane accessories. Why we are selling? Don’t want to store and maintain for a year+ during a military period away. We love this RV and will likely be purchasing the same/similar model in the future. Why you should buy this model? This is the best entry level to mid level Class C Rv for a large family or with young kids that makes the traveling more comfortable than other RV types, using the toilet, tv, and fridge while driving makes traveling a much more enjoyable experience. You can’t ride in any trailer campers due to safety so having the living area attached makes the roadtrip easier. The Class C style (Van front end) as opposed to Class A (Bus style) has all of the traditional handling features of a large van as it is on an E450 Chassis. Both my wife and myself have no issues driving this rig. Plus it is a common chassis that can get maintenance at Ford or any service facility. Engine and transmission info: • 6.8L V10 Engine 1997 - 2019 this was the last year for this engine known for reliability. Ford transitioned to the 6.7 Godzilla motor in 2020 which had issues in the first few years. • 6R140 TorqueShift 6-speed transmission 2016+ Featuring a tow haul mode, external cooler and durable design for heavy loads
