I’m available on weekends by appointment. NO TRADES This lightly used 4 wheel drive Winnebago Boldt camper van is in excellent condition and has been very well cared for. We’ve had the van for 4 years and it has served us well, but it is time to move on to a slide in truck camper that will serve our current needs better. We’ve had almost every different type of RV over the years and have really enjoyed the camper van, but we plan on towing our Land Cruiser around the SW to do some serious off-roading and it is too heavy to tow with the Van. We made some minor, but awesome customizations to the Bolt to make it much more comfortable: We started with switching out the faucet in the galley to one with a high arch and a pull out spray nozzle. We then added a cell range booster for better connectivity while out exploring. The factory shocks were horrible so we switched them out for the Van Compass / Falcon 3-way adjustable shocks. These have been great for being able to adjust for highway or gravel road travel. The maximum comfort setting was great for smoothing out washboard roads and potholes. The 4x4 is great for traveling on gravel roads and coupled with the Van Compass adjustable shocks it is awesome! Nice and smooth and no tire spin. We also installed the Pedal Control throttle control to smooth out the throttle response. It’s plug and play so if you don’t want to use it then you would just unplug it. I would recommend keeping it though. We decided we needed more water capacity so we installed a second fresh water tank inside the van to basically double the fresh water capacity to 41 gallons. We like to boondock and stay out for extended periods of time so this was a game changer! No more worrying about water! There are two different floor plans for the Boldt, this floorpan, the Q70KL with the bathroom in the back of the van and the Q70BL with the bathroom in the middle of the van. We liked this one because the bathroom in the back is larger and you can access it from the back door. The one with the bathroom in the middle also has a couple 5 gallon jugs under the galley sink for the sink grey water and we didn’t want to deal with that. There is a lot of internal storage inside the van and we always had plenty of room for all of our clothes and everything else we wanted to take with us. The storage under the bed was great for bedding and pillows with room to spare for other items. We looked at a lot of camper vans before settling on the Boldt. The Revel was too small inside and has almost zero storage. Storyteller vans and Field Vans / Sportsmobile didn’t offer enough of the creature comforts for us. We really wanted a full bathroom inside the van and didn’t want to deal with a cassette toilet. We heard far too many horror stories around the cassette toilets from other van owners and did not want to deal with finding places to dump it all the time. This is a great camper van for the person or people that want more of the creature comforts of a motorhome in a van. The Volta power system is awesome! We weren’t sure about all electric without a generator since we have always had rv’s with generators, but the huge power pack and the quick charging with the dedicated alternator of the Volta system is a game changer. No more noisy generator and plenty of power for days even when not driving around.
