2021 MDC USA AUSRV X13, The AUSRV X13 was built in Australia for country where the pavement quits early. It sits on a hot dipped galvanized steel frame with independent coil suspension and four shock absorbers, rolls on 16 inch alloy wheels with mud terrain tires, and carries two spares instead of one. The Cruisemaster DO35 hitch lets the trailer twist and pivot behind your truck on uneven ground instead of fighting it. At 20 feet and about 5,134 pounds dry, it tows behind a half ton without drama and fits down a two track that would stop a conventional travel trailer at the trailhead. Then you stop, and it opens up. The roof lifts, the 12 foot electric awning rolls out, and the annex walls and floor zip on to give you a second room with a floor you can stand on. The stainless steel kitchen slides out of the side of the trailer with a sink and a stove, so you cook outside and the trailer stays clean. Inside there is a king size innerspring mattress with a pillow top, a private ensuite with a shower and a cassette toilet, and 63 gallons of fresh water on board. Three hundred watts of roof solar keep the house batteries fed, so a long weekend off the grid is normal instead of an event. This is a trailer for two people who would rather keep driving than turn around at the sign. Come see it at our Colorado Springs Experience Center.
