2022 Sprinter Van, 144 High Roof, 2500/3/4 Ton, 4x4, 3.0 Diesel, 7-Speed Transmission
This is one of the last made Sprinter 4x4 Vans with 3.0 6-Cyl Diesel, before Mercedes switched to the 2023 AWD 2.0 Twin Turbo Diesel. Purchased this unit in June 2022. Production was an upgraded Cargo Van with some Crew features including self-latching sliding door and slider door window. This van has been custom built by Local Oregon Upfitters from Hood River, Bend, Sandy and the Portland, OR areas. The van has been unused and is ready to fit your needs and adventures. Finish accessorizing the van with ladder, awning, front seat pivots, bug screens and whatever else, based on your needs. Basically, it is ready to travel.
The vision for this van is a multifaceted recreation vehicle, as well as for everyday use. There are two U.S. DOE approved JMG pivoting Passenger Captain Chairs. These chairs are easily used for passengers or when recreating (especially nice or the ski season). Chairs recline for lounging and napping.
The van is equipped for extended dry camping with an advanced, State of the Art 12V battery and inverter system, designed by DIYvan in Hood River. The 4-lithium ion batteries (420 AH total) are installed under of the van driver s side coach, and are heated when needed (automatic temperature sensing) for optimum performance. A 2000-watt (55A) Kisae Inverter distributes power throughout the van. The house batteries charge via Shore power, the vehicles alternator and solar. There is 350 watts of roof top solar panels connected to an Orion roof rack. The van is wired for 30-amp shore power. A 12v Dometic-2000 air conditioner over the bed runs off the inverter or shore power. This 12v Dometic AC is used by truckers worldwide to cool their cabs when parked. There is a Max Air Deluxe fan located over the passenger seats. A 12V IndelB 3.0 cubic feet fridge is installed. IndelB Cruise (CR85) refrigerators are low power consumers, and true compressor refrigerators with high performance comparable to the fridge in your home. These fridges are designed for safe food temperature storage with low power absorption (60 W) and consumption (kWh/24h). You can bring a portable small inverter/generator for emergency power, but the 420 AH of lithium power storage and 350 watts of solar will power you through all but heavy use of the AC unit. An Espar Diesel heater is installed of the driver side, in front of the rear wheel. The placement of the Espar here allows the exhaust to dissipate away from the vans opening (many installs are located by the sliding or rear doors, which allow exhaust gas to enter the van).
