- Power without aftermarket parts: Ford's factory second alternator delivers 250A and charges the house battery at up to 200A. A factory part, warrantied by Ford. Sprinter builds need aftermarket alternator upgrades - multiple brands that have to communicate, a specialist for each, none of it warrantied by Mercedes.
