A little about this Explorer TS 42RB (Tandem Rear Axles)
The Explorer TS takes everything we love about the Explorer and adds MORE. The biggest difference between the Explorer TS vs the standard Explorer is that the TS comes standard with twin-screw (TS) axles or tandem axles as we like to call it.
The Explorer TS is built on the NEW Freightliner Cascadia P5 116 chassis, mated with the Detroit Diesel DD13 Engine with 525hp and 1,850 ft lb. of torque. We ordered this one with the Detroit DT12 12 Speed Automated Manual Transmission which is our favorite transmission for towing performance. It also has the Detroit Safety Assurance collision mitigation system.
The Explorer TS sits at 42' in total length, and has one floorplan for 2027 so far, the 42RB. Which is a direct copy of the 40ERB Explorer floorplan, just with 2 feet more living space in the bathroom and bedroom areas. This extra 2 feet allowed room for the tandem axles, while keeping close to the same storage space underneath! This coach also has the optional Cab Over Bunk Bed! Giving you added versatility for extra sleeping or storage.

- Tundra Paint Design with Blackout Package– We designed this coach to come in the all-white paint design with the Blackout Package. The blackout package covers the wheels, grill, door handles, mirror covers, and more.
- Lithium Battery Upgrades – We ordered this unit with the most amount of batteries we can get. This gives you (4) 270-amp hour lithium batteries over the single AGM battery.
- (4) 200-Watt Solar Panel Package – We ordered this coach with 800 Watts of solar in conjunction with Lithium to give you the ultimate performance we can get in the Explorer.
- Additional 3,000-Watt Inverter Used to Run One A/C – This option allows you to run one air conditioner solely on battery power! This is a great feature for quiet hours at an RV park, or while you are going down the road, being able to keep the coach cool without running your generator!
- Electric Radiant Floor Heat– Nothing better than waking up in the morning with warm tile. Also helps in winter use for 4 seasons traveling.
- Flo-Jet Macerator – This macerator hose makes dumping your tanks a much nicer experience. This allows you to pump the waste and have a much more sanitary solution.
